Getting Started with ASP.NET

Trying to find information on our websites is often a frustrating task. I often spend time aggregating information and posting it here. However, multiply this effort by thousands of Microsoft bloggers and it only contributes to the problem.

One of the hardest tasks is trying to find a starting point.  If you’re new to the platform where do you go? Then once you arrive at any number of our sites the real grunt work begins. Change happens over time and I’m glad to say that we’ve redesigned the ASP.NET website.  T

he four large buttons at the top of the home page make it simple:

Click Getting Started and you find 5 choices

Click Number 2 and you can get access to FREE software via the WebsiteSpark Program. Not the “Free” Express Edition, but the full commercial editions.

Options 1, 3, and 4 are self-descriptive, but Option 5 was a task unto itself before they simplified it here.

Hopefully visiting this site will make the process of learning new platforms or just finding the right resources a whole lot simpler.

Introducing... Natasha Kills

“Natalia Kills birth name Natalia Cappuccini’ (born August 198?) is a British born Jamaican/Uruguayan Singer/Songwriter based in London and Los Angeles” is how her Wikipedia page describes her.

“Natalia Kills is a songwriter, singer, director and actress. The half Jamaican (paternal) half South American (maternal) artist was born in England in the mid- late 80’s. In early 2008 she reached Number 1 unsigned artist on MySpace Music with two demo songs, “Shopaholic” and “Swaggeriffic”. She has songs featured in several Disney films including, Bring It On 4 and Just My Luck; as well as on U.S. television series, Entourage.

In May 2008 she was discovered by will.i.am and went on to sign to Interscope/Cherrytree records via his imprint in late 2008. She was noticed for self produced and written demo EP Wommanequin featured the video Real Woman, a song about her challenge of society’s view of the perfect female form. Her debut album is called Zombie and it’ll be out soon.”

Installation:

Unpack contents to wp-content/plugins/ into a superslider-login directory

Activate the plugin,

Configure global settings for plugin under > settings > SuperSlider-login

(optional) move SuperSlider-login plugin sub folder plugin-data to your wp-content folder,

under > settings > SuperSlider-login > option group, File Storage – Loading Options

select “Load css from plugin-data folder, see side note. (Recommended)”. This will

prevent plugin uploads from over writing any css changes you may have made.
